In free mode the recording is transcribed by the speech engine already built into your browser, and the transcript is stored in your browser on your device. We do not receive your audio, your transcript or your notes, and there is nothing to sign up for.
If you bring your own Deepgram or Anthropic API key for sharper transcription and AI written summaries, your audio goes to that provider under your own account, still never to us. Keys are kept in your browser only.
Real estate brokers taking listing calls. Escrow and title officers confirming deadlines. Advisors and CPAs who need the number the client actually said. Anyone whose notes currently live on the back of an envelope.

It depends on where you and the other party are. Some states require only one party to agree. California, Florida, Pennsylvania, Washington and several others require everyone on the call to agree. If the calls you are recording are about selling investment real estate, the deadlines are short and unforgiving. You have 45 days to identify replacement property and 180 days to close a 1031 exchange. We advise owners on Delaware Statutory Trusts, 1031 exchanges and 721 UPREIT rollovers, and a first conversation costs nothing.
